13. Updating Beyond Multisite

Follow the steps below to update Beyond Multisite to the latest version.

1. Download and extract the main archive file to create the 3 folders: Documentation, Licensing, and Plugin.
2. Extract the beyond-multisite.zip file, located in the Plugin folder from step 1.
3. Using an FTP client (like WinSCP for example), connect to your server and upload the beyond-multisite folder (created in step 2) to the /wp-content/plugins/ folder on your server, overwriting existing files and folders.
4. If you are using translation files to translate the plugin to another language, you will need to do the following too:
   1. Open your current .po file in Poedit.
   2. In the menu of the program click Catalogue and then Update from POT file…
   3. Find the file beyond-multisite.pot located in the languages folder, which is inside the beyond-multisite folder from earlier.
   4. Click Open.
   5. Any new strings from the new version of the plugin will be added. Translate them and save the .po file.
   6. Using an FTP client, connect to your server and upload your updated .po and .mo files to the /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder on your server, overwriting existing files.
